About.

Hello! 你好! I am Shirly.

A memoji of myself

I am a Chinese-Canadian designer based in Toronto, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology degree at Ryerson University.
I have a genuine passion for the connections of culture and innovative technology, I enjoy designing visually intriguing concepts that are worth talking about. I strive to create with a purpose while breaking rules and stereotypes.

I focus on graphic design and branding, while dabbling in motion and user interface design.

When I'm not designing, I enjoy binge watching K-dramas, having zoom game nights with my friends, listening to podcasts, and baking cakes!

Experience

I am currently the Graphic Designer at Ryerson University's
Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching
.

I am a member of Ryerson University's Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Central Committee. I am responsible for creating all branding assets, social media and website content for the six departments within the Centre. I'm actively developing designs for the virtual Learning and Teaching Conference, that will take place on May 19-20, 2021.

I am also currently a Graphic Designer at StyleCircle, where I produce original digital illustrations and graphic design for both web and mobile. This year, I took part in the professional magazine issue 6 of 'The Book,' which I created exclusive designs for two articles.

I love going to concerts with my friends!
Before the pandemic quarantine I attended a total of 8 concerts, from Daniel Caesar to Blackpink to Jay Park, and many more!
